Interlaken – Lucerne
Discover Switzerland's famous peaks in winter. If you only have a few days to discover the beauty of the Swiss Mountains, then this unguided tour is ideal for you. Spend 2 nights in the charming town of Interlaken followed by 2 nights in Lucerne with trips to the Jungfraujoch (11’333 ft) and Mount Pilatus (7’000 ft). A great way to enjoy Switzerland in the winter time.

Programme

Day 1:

Arrival
Flight from the UK to Zürich and rail transfer to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 2: Excursion to Jungfraujoch
Excursion to the Jungfraujoch which is the highest train station in Europe. Impressive views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch glacier, the longest in Europe at 22kms. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 3: Over the Brünig Pass
You have time for a stroll along the lake before boarding the train to Lucerne over the Brünig Pass. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 4: Mount Pilatus - the Dragon Mountain
During the winter months a postal coach will take you from Lucerne to Kriens and from there two gondolas await to take you to the top of Mount Pilatus. On the way down - snow conditions permitting - you can opt for a sledge ride for the last part of the way down. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 5: Departure
Rail transfer to Zürich and flight back to the UK.

You will be accommodated in centrally located 3* hotels, within easy walking distance to the railway station and amenities.

  • From £575 per person sharing twin/double room
  • Single room supplement £88 for 4 nights
  • Child prices on request
  • Subject to availability at the time of booking
  • This holiday can be booked vice versa


Package includes:
Return flights from UK, airport taxes, carbon offset contribution (see climate care), 2nd class train travel as per programme, Half Fare Card, 4 nights accommodation sharing twin/double room & breakfast, excursions to Jungfraujoch and Mount Pilatus, small souvenir gift.


Optional Extras:
  • Upgrade to 1st class: £34 per adult
  • Upgrade to 4* accommodation: £49 per person for 4 nights (Single room: £78 per person)
  • Add Lucerne guided city walk: £12 per adult
  • Add extra nights at any of the resorts
  • Add on a ski break at the beginning or end
