| Day 2: | Free day on Lake Geneva
A day at leisure in Montreux, the heart of the Swiss Riviera. Visit the famous Château de Chillon, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Europe, take a cruise on Switzerland's largest lake, Lake Geneva or enjoy a mountain excursion to the Rochers-de-Naye peaks for fantastic views of the lake and the surrounding French and Swiss Alps. Overnight in Montreux.

| Day 3: | Golden Pass
Board the Golden Pass train from Montreux in the panoramic carriage as it sweeps through the many vineyards and country estates on its way to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.

| Day 4 & 5: |
Free day + Excursion to Jungfraujoch On one of your 2 free days you have an excursion to the Jungfraujoch included. First take the train from Interlaken Ost via Lauterbrunnen and Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg at the foot of the famous Eiger. You then take the Jungfrau railway via Eiger Gletscher to the Jungfraujoch - the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454m (11,3000ft) with some breathtaking views of the Aletsch glacier at 22km (13.6 miles), the longest in the Alps and an UNESCO World Heritage site. On your other free day take advantage of the included Swiss Card which gives you 50% discount on mountain excursions, lake cruises or additional train tickets. Overnight in Interlaken. |
| Day 6: | Glacier Express to Chur
Depart Interlaken by train to Brig where you will join the Glacier Express for a thrilling ride in the 2nd class panoramic carriage to Chur, taking in some of the most dramatic scenery Switzerland has to offer. The journey is narrated explaining the amazing engineering feat in overcoming extreme altitude variations by train. A three course lunch on the Glacier Express is included on the journey. Overnight in Chur.

| Day 7: | Bernina Express
On day 7 you will join the Bernina Express over the Bernina Pass. The area along the train line has recently been designated an UNESCO World Heritage site. Past mighty glaciers and over the highest point at 2,253m (7,391ft) down to the palm trees of the mountain village of Tirano (Italy). You have around 2 hours to visit the cathedral or to experience some of the exceptional local cuisine on offer in the many cafés and restaurants before starting your return journey. Overnight in Chur.

Rail transfer back to Zürich and flight or rail back to the UK.
