Graubünden - Swiss Nature Park Ela

Parc Ela stretches for over 600 square km and a third of it comprises expansive unspoiled landscape such as the glacier in the Kesch region and the area surrounding the Piz Ela. Moorland and floodplains, protected forest and meadows also belong to the park. Parc Ela is also home to the Albula rail line, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 1: Morning flight from UK to Zurich, and rail transfer to Savognin, where you will spend the next 6 nights.
Day 2: A relaxed ascent high above Lake Marmorera to the picturesque Alp FlixWalk to Lais Blos and then climb through a mystical landscape to Lai Nair and onto the village of Rona.
Day 3: After visiting the Mistall, one of the oldest Carolingian churches in Switzerland we walk in the Albula valley on the Rhatischen railway nature trail - a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 4: We climb up to Ziteil, the highest place of pilgrimage in Europe, and enjoy the unique views. On the way back down into the valley of Julia, the scene changes between mountain forests and summery alpine pastures.
Day 5: A diverse wilderness observation tour in the Val d’Err will teach us much about the fauna of Parc Ela, and the large number of rock types will give us an insight into the multifaceted nature of the geology
Day 6: Our lengthy walk brings us to a solitary alpine landscape at the foot of the Piz Mitgel, to the idyllic Lai Tigiel and on to the Pass digls Orgels at 2699m above sea level
Day 7: Return rail transfer to Zurich airport for your flight back to the UK.

All hotels are small family-run, typically Swiss hotels with a warm welcome. All hotels used are of a 3 star standard and have private facilities.
