Programme

7 days / 6 nights - unescorted
Day 1:

Arrival
Flight from the UK to Zürich and rail transfer to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 2:
Free Day in Lucerne
Enjoy a guided city tour of Lucerne and take advantage of your included 8-day Swiss Pass to explore the many top mountain excursions (Mount Rigi, Pilatus, Stanserhorn) in the region.
Day 3: Glacier Express
Transfer by train from Lucerne to Chur where you join the Glacier Express to Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 4:
Free Day in Zermatt + Gornergrat Exc.
Excursion by cogwheel train to the Gornergrat where you will have superb views of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other snow-capped peaks rising above 4,000m (13,000ft). Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 5: Bern
Train travel to Bern via Golden Pass Line. Overnight in the Swiss capital.
Day 6: Schilthorn Excursion
Today you will go up to the Schilthorn and have a lake cruise on Lake Thun. Overnight in Bern.
Day 7: Departure
In the morning enjoy a guided city tour of Bern. Rail transfer to Zürich Airport and flight back to the UK.
