The world-famous resort of Montreux is located in the heart of the Swiss Riviera. It boasts a beautiful lakeside location, a mild climate and, of course, the famous Château de Chillon, one of the best preserved medieval castles in Europe. Its diverse scenery, with palm trees on one side of the lake and snow-capped mountains peaks on the other, has attracted visitors since the 19th century.
